DENVER - Colorado transportation officials say that weather permitting, repairs on the Interstate 270 ramp over eastbound I-70 should be complete by Sunday.

The bridge was damaged when a truck carrying a track hoe struck it Dec. 28. The left lane of the flyover ramp from eastbound I-270 to eastbound I-70 has been closed since then to protect travelers and will remain closed until the repair work is finished.

Bridge repairs are scheduled Friday and Saturday nights.

CDOT says the right lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Delays are expected and alternate routes are advised.

The Colorado Department of Transportation says it expects to complete the bridge repairs by 6 a.m. Sunday
