IDAHO SPRINGS, Colo. - A man is dead after falling into fast-running Clear Creek Saturday afternoon.
Kenneth Barkley, 41, and his family were rafting with Highside Adventure Tours when the raft in front of them overturned, according to Idaho Springs Police Chief Dave Wholers.
Barkley tried to help some of the rafters and ended up falling in the creek. Barkley's body was found downstream near the twin tunnel construction project, Wholers told 7NEWS.
The water in the creek was high due to the spring runoff and was moving fast. The cause of death is still under investigation.
