PUEBLO, Colo. - Pueblo police say a husband and wife are dead after one was stabbed and the other died in a motorcycle crash.

Pueblo police told KRDO-TV that a 34-year-old woman was killed shortly before 1 a.m. at a home on Mass Street.  Officers are investigating the death as a homicide.

Police believe her husband left the home on a motorcycle. He crashed a short time later on Highway 50 near Baxter Road. He died as a result of his injuries.

Police said he is believed to be the suspect in his wife's death.

Police tell KRDO-TV three children were in the home when they arrived. The children were taken to the police station until a family member can be located.
