PUEBLO, Colo. - The Pueblo County jail is no longer taking unruly or intoxicated people suspected of minor crimes.
Pueblo Police Chief Luis Velez says the new rules are forcing him to take officers from the streets to monitor detainees in the police department's 14-cell jail.
According to the Pueblo Chieftain, Pueblo police officers are now placing a lower priority on public intoxication arrests.
