PUEBLO, Colo. -
A boy who survived three years without a brain has died.
Nickolas Coke waS born with only a brain stem. Most babies with that condition are stillborn or die shortly after birth. However, Nickolas survived. He was even able to live at home with no tubes, no machines.
According to KOAA-TV, Nickolas was playing with pumpkins before he died earlier this week.
"He taught us how to love and be a family," said his grandmother Sherri Kohut.
