President Barack Obama holds campaign rally at Denver's City Park Wednesday

DENVER - President Barack Obama will be back in Colorado on Wednesday as part of a nearly around-the-clock campaigning tour.

The president will hold a rally at Denver's City Park around 3 p.m. Gates open at noon.

Expect road closures near the park. Denver city officials said 17th Avenue will be closed between Josephine and Colorado Boulevard from approximately 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Local access will be maintained between Josephine and Fillmore.

During the day, City Park roads will only be open to authorized vehicles.

The President will speak at the Meadow at City Park, which is between Ferril Lake and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

Tickets are available on site starting at noon.  Enter the park on the northeast side via East 23rd Avenue or Colorado Blvd.  Follow the signs that read “TO PAVILION, BANDSTAND, BOAT RENTALS"

Since August, the President has held events in Fort Collins, Boulder, Denver, Grand Junction, Pueblo, Colorado Springs and Golden.

Obama will start the day in Iowa before heading to Denver and then hold a late night event in Las Vegas. On  Thursday, he heads east to Florida, Virginia and Ohio.
