Possible kidnapping attempt in Parker: 2 boys say man 'insisted' they get in his truck

PARKER, Colo. - Two teenage boys say a stranger "insisted" they get into his truck Wednesday night in Parker.

The boys told the Parker Police Department they were walking near the intersection of Twenty Mile Road and Main Street at about 8:30 p.m. when they were approached by a white man driving a white full sized truck or SUV.

The teens said the man asked if they needed a ride and both said no, according to investigators.

At that point, the man insisted the boys get into his truck and the boys ran away.

The man put his truck into reverse in what appeared to be an attempt to catch up to the boys, police said.

The boys were able to run to safety and a parent called police at approximately 8:55 p.m.

The man is described as being in his 50s with grey stubble.

The white truck is described as possibly having a white camper shell with oval shaped tinted windows on each side. It may be a diesel. Investigators do not have information on the license plate number.

Parker Police are actively investigating this case and are requesting the public's assistance in identifying the unknown suspect and vehicle in this case. If you believe you have information in the case please call the Parker Police Department at 303.841.9800
