Police: Woman reportedly assaulted, kidnapped by boyfriend returns to mother's house

DENVER - The woman who was reportedly assaulted, then kidnapped from her mother's home returned to the house about seven hours later.
Christina Santos' mother called police at 1:05 a.m. Monday and said Santos' boyfriend, a man she only knew as Gerardo, assaulted Christina, then forced Christina into a car and drove off.
Around 8:15 a.m., a neighbor saw Santos' vehicle near the home and called 911.
"Christina Santos the reported Domestic Violence, Kidnapping victim has returned to the location she was supposed (to) have (been) taken from," Denver Police tweeted around 8:48 a.m.
A detective told 7NEWS that Santos was injured, but her injuries were not severe.
About two hours after Santos returned to the home, Gerardo came back to the house. 7NEWS saw him get handcuffed and put in a police car. Denver Police told 7NEWS the man has been arrested.
