Police: Shoplifters at King Soopers assaulted clerk

DENVER - Police are asking for the public's help to identify two people accused of shoplifting, then assaulting an employee at King Soopers.

Investigators said the suspects went into the King Soopers on Hampden Avenue, near I-25, last Thursday at lunch time. They shoplifted several items and tried to run off.

"While fleeing, the suspects assaulted an employee," Metro Denver Crime Stoppers said.

The suspects are described as white males. One was wearing a Chicago Bulls shirt and smoking. The other had a tattoo on the back of his neck, possibly with the letters S.F. or S.E.
