Police say armed man robs Wells Fargo bank in Thornton; no injuries reported

THORNTON, Colo. - Police in Thornton said they are investigating a robbery Tuesday at an area Wells Fargo branch.

The robbery occurred at 10:08 a.m. at the Wells Fargo on the 9800 block of Grant Street, according to the Thornton Police Department.

Investigators said a man entered the bank with a handgun and demanded money. The man then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Nobody was injured inside the bank during the incident.

The suspect was described as a man about 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 4 inches tall.

Police said the man's face was covered.

The Thornton Police Department, FBI and Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are investigating the incident.
