Police release sketch of intruder sought in Denver; officers say man, accomplice targeting women

DENVER - Denver Police have released a sketch of a man accused of chasing a woman into her apartment and forcing his way in.

The incident occurred on March 6, at 8 p.m. in the area of 10225 E. Girard Ave, according to the Denver Police Department.

Officers said the suspect in the photo is one of two men sought in the crime, who fled the scene when the victim locked herself in her bedroom and called police.

The victim described the suspects as black men in their teens to late 20s, and said both men were wearing hooded sweatshirts -- one dark blue or black and one gray.

On March 12, two men matching the description of the suspects kicked in the front door to an apartment in the area of 10025 E. Girard Ave., police said.

Investigators said the suspects may be targeting apartments where they believe women are alone inside.
