JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. - A 14-year-old boy said a man tried to lure him into a car and then tried to grab him Monday night.

The teen was walking home from a friend's house near Falcon Bluffs Middle School around 7:30 p.m., said Mark Techmeyer of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.

As the teen neared the school, he saw a dark blue or black sedan following him. The driver stopped the car and yelled "Hey," at the teen, Techmeyer said.

"Frightened, the juvenile began to run towards his home at Holland and Chatfield," Techmeyer said. "The juvenile reported that the adult male ran after him and caught him a short distance later."

The man grabbed the boy's arm and started pulling him towards the car. At one point the man's grip slipped and the teen was able to get away, Techmeyer said.

The man is described as white, between 35 and 40 years old. He is about 200 pounds with medium salt and pepper hair.

Anyone who as information about this case is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 303-271-5612.
