DENVER - A man who was shot and killed Saturday after allegedly attacking an officer with a samurai sword was identified Tuesday.
The coroner's office said Jeffrey Albert Musick, 38, died after being shot multiple times.
Musick allegedly attacked an officer with the sword around 5:45 a.m. Saturday on the Auraria Campus.
Police said the officer opened fire after being injured by the blade.
The officer nearly had his finger cut off and was rushed to the hospital after the incident. He was released on Sunday.
