DENVER - A 4-year-old boy suffering from what police described as severe burns was transported from a hotel in Denver to Children's Hospital Wednesday night.
The child was then flown to Shriners Hospital in Galveston, Texas, Denver police said. There is no word yet on the boy's condition.
A viewer told 7NEWS the preschooler was scalded.
Denver police spokesman Aaron Kafer said police received a 911 call at 9:34 p.m. Wednesday about a child who had been injured at the Best Inn & Suites on Quebec Street near Interstate 70 in Denver.
Kafer said the initial report was that the child was burned from hot water in a bath.
Police are still investigating and have not yet determined if this was an accident or foul play, Kafer explained.
The boy's father was arrested for an unrelated warrant not associated with the burns, but Kafer did not say what the warrant was for.
The child's name has not been released.
