A police chase early Friday morning ended in a crash.
Denver police said an officer tried to stop a driver around 2:45 a.m., but the driver fled.
There was a chase into Lakewood.
The driver crashed on 6th Avenue at Sheridan.
The driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
Denver police said they are investigating the chase and Lakewood police are investigating the crash.
