AURORA, Colo. – Witnesses of a fatal shooting Monday evening in Aurora helped police catch the suspected killer, who police say was trying to make his getaway on a RTD bus.

Aurora Police were called to 1948 Ouray Street around 5:30 p.m. and found the victim in the driveway. The adult male victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses who saw the shooting gave police a good description of the suspect, which led officers to the RTD bus. The unidentified male suspect was taken into custody without incident.

Details surrounding the shooting have not been released.

The Arapahoe County Coroner's Office will identify the victim once family has been notified.
