Police: Car break-ins increase as the temperature goes up

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - As the temperature increases, so do vehicle break-ins, according to Wheat Ridge Police.
Officers said burglars hit ten cars on the east side of town in one night earlier this week.
"In most of these cases, the victims simply left their doors unlocked," police said.
The advice to reduce your chances of being a victim is simple, lock your car doors and don’t leave anything of value in visible sight, police said. That includes spare change.
