Police arrest suspect in Englewood home invasion, shooting

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – Police have arrested a man suspected of breaking into an Englewood home and shooting a man inside.

Englewood and Sheridan police arrested Kenneth Tafoya, 48, without incident on Tuesday afternoon.

Tafoya is accused of breaking into a home near South Lincoln and Hampden around 3 a.m. Monday. Police said he entered the home through the front door and shot a man inside the home.

The victim, an unidentified man in his 50s, was transported to Swedish Medical Center in critical condition. Police said they did not have an update on the victim’s condition Thursday.

Tafoya is charged with attempted first degree murder.
