Police arrest ex-husband of woman found in Brighton lot with severe head wounds

BRIGHTON, Colo. – Police on Wednesday arrested the ex-husband of the woman found with severe head wounds in a Brighton parking lot Monday night for her alleged assault.

Anthony Douglas Dyson, 51, of Brighton, is charged with attempted first-degree murder in the incident.

His 50-year-old ex-wife was found in the parking lot of her apartment complex in the 4200 block of East Bromley Lane in Brighton Monday night.

Neighbors called police when they heard her screaming. The woman was found in between two cars in the parking lot with head trauma.

Brighton police said Dyson was arrested at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Platte Valley Medical Center.
