Police find guns and meth after carjacking

Police arrested two suspected carjackers after a police chase in Denver and found two guns and half a pound of meth.

A woman in a Jeep reported being carjacked at 550 S. Federal Blvd. at about 8:10 Tuesday night.

Police officers spotted the Jeep near South Sheridan Boulevard and West Warren Avenue a little before 1 a.m. and started chasing it.

Police said the suspects threw a backpack out of the car. There were two guns inside.

The suspects pulled into an apartment complex at 2515 S. Sheridan Blvd. and gave up without a fight.

Police said they found a half-pound of crystal meth in the car.

One of the suspects was a runaway from a juvenile detention center, according to police. The other was an adult man.
