Pickup truck mangled by train collision in Weld County

EATON, Colo. - A pickup truck was badly mangled after being hit by a train in Weld County Wednesday.
The red pickup was hit in Eaton near County Road 76 and U.S. 85 around 2:00 p.m. Based on a photo from 7NEWS photojournalist Major King, the pickup appears to have been knocked into a ditch. At least one of the wheels was torn from the chassis while the bed and cab of the truck were severely twisted.
Colorado State Patrol said one driver did suffer severe injuries in this crash.
