DENVER -- Thousands came out Saturday and Sunday to celebrate Denver PrideFest at Civic Center Park. The two-day event was expected to draw at least 380,000 people.
The festivities included live entertainment on three stages and more than 200 vendors. Sunday, the annual pride parade stepped off as throngs of supporters marched down East Colfax Avenue.
Several street closures are in place during the event.
This year, Denver PrideFest embraced the 2017 World Pride Theme of "¡Viva La Vida!" to celebrate and support the LGBT community and to declare that all communities should live under fair and equal protection of the law.
