Phony Broncos tickets allegedly sold to Denver cop, two other victims

DENVER - Phony tickets for the Broncos game against the Redskins last Sunday were allegedly sold to an undercover Denver police officer and two other victims, the District Attorney's Office says.

William Campbell, 63, of New York, is charged with forgery and theft for the crime. DA spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough says he allegedly sold the counterfeit tickets on Oct. 27.

Campbell is being held in the Denver Detention Center and his bond is set at $2,000. He is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 4 for an advisement of the charges.

The Broncos beat the Redskins 45-21 in that game.
