DENVER- A person was killed and another wounded in a shooting near Manual High School early Sunday.
Denver police officers were called to East 28th Avenue and North High Street around 2:30 a.m.
Two men were found wounded in the alley between Race and High Streets.
The injured men were transported to a nearby hospital where one of the men was pronounced dead, the Denver Police Department tweeted around 8:30 a.m.
The alley was still cordoned off late Sunday morning.
An officer told Denver7 Amanda del Castillo the department was waiting on a warrant. The officer did not go into further detail.

The Police Department is asking anyone who heard or saw something to come forward.
