DENVER - Denver police now say a pedestrian that was hit by a car in downtown Denver was not a hit-and-run.
The accident occurred at around 5 p.m. on Broadway, just south of California Street.
At least six police cars blocked the right lanes of Broadway at that location.

Police originally tweeted they are looking for light colored van or SUV that fled the scene but later tweeted, "1900 Broadway sorted out now. All drivers accounted for. Now not a hit and run."
It was determined that a valet hit the female pedestrian while backing up a car. Police thought it was a hit and run because the car could not be found, but the valet had returned the car to its owner.
The valet was cited by police.
The extent of injuries to the pedestrian were described by police as "serious."
