Pedestrian hit and killed on Brighton Boulevard in Commerce City

A pedestrian died Monday morning after being hit by a pickup truck in Commerce City.
The person was hit about 4:50 a.m. on Brighton Boulevard between 60th and 64th avenues, according to Commerce City Police.
It happened in an industrial area.
The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital, where he died. His identity will not be released until his family is notified.
Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in this case.
This was not a hit and run, police said the driver involved in the crash stayed on the scene.
