ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- A pedestrian was hit and killed on Zuni Street in Adams County early Monday morning.
The pedestrian was found in the middle of the road, near 52nd Avenue, around 6:20 a.m.
Authorities said the victim is an older man.
Investigators are trying to determine how the victim got hit and why the driver did not stop.
Colorado State Patrol troopers at the scene said they are looking for an older, white Ford truck that was spotted in the area, but authorities don't know yet if the vehicle was involved in this collision.
Troopers are asking anyone who traveled through the area between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. to contact the Colorado State Patrol by dialing *CSP.
