DENVER - One person is in custody after an incident on a Frontier Airlines Airbus A319 that was flying from Knoxville, Tenn. to Denver.
Kate O'Mally with Frontier Airlines told 7NEWS there were 136 passengers on the flight and five crew members.
When the jet landed just after 7 p.m., it was taken to a remote area of the airport and the passengers were bused to a nearby fire station to be interviewed by FBI agents.
It was not clear exactly what happened on board the flight that prompted the large law enforcement response. FBI agent Dave Joly said there was a potential security threat on board the aircraft and that the FBI is investigating.
A passenger tweeted it was a bomb threat and that the plane landed very quickly. He said it was "super scary" and he was on his way to talk to the FBI.
