ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. -- At the intersection near Vallejo and 76th, neighbors say accidents are part of the norm.

"In the last four months there has probably been about seven or eight wrecks,” said resident Vance Walker.

Walker says a March crash nearby turned deadly. Neighbors all agree the source is side street parking.  Drivers turning on the street can't see because of the overwhelming number of cars lining the street.

Neighbors say the apartments across the street is charging tenants for parking, so many of them park on the street.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office tells Denver7 they are investigating several parking issues in the county, including those near Vallejo and 76th. Officers can’t ticket people parking on the side of the street because they have the right to park there.

Neighbors like Carla Randell say she is not gambling with her life.

“We make a U-turn and go all the way up because I don't even feel safe driving on 76th,” said Randell.
