Overnight search for wanted man in Arapahoe County called off

ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. - Deputies and police dogs searched a neighborhood overnight for a man wanted on multiple charges, but he got away.

The Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office said deputies spotted a car believed to be connected to a wanted man Thursday night around 10.

They tried to pull the car over, but the driver sped off.

The driver jumped out of the car at West Ken Caryl and S. Platte Canyon roads and ran.

Deputies said because the man was armed, they called in extra help to search for him, but after three hours, they called off the search.

Deputies have not released the man's name or photo.
