DENVER - Denver police tell 7NEWS a man fired into a crowd on Sunday morning and killed one person.

Police spokesman John White said there were numerous fights near 11th Avenue and Lincoln Street around 1 a.m.

Someone fired into the crowd and hit one person, White said. The victim was taken to the hospital, but did not survive.

Denver Police said they arrested a suspect, Joel Rosario-Lopez, 24, near the scene.

The identity of the victim has not been released.

The shooting happened just two days after and a few blocks away from where a 28-year-old man was stabbed to death after leaving a bar. In that attack, Ryan Haldeman suffered multiple wounds and died at a hospital
