ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – An out-of-state law enforcement officer who was training in Adams County Monday had his shotgun, tactical vest and part of his uniform stolen out of his vehicle while he was at the training facility.

Deputies say the male suspect broke into the officer’s vehicle while the officer was training at the facility on East 72nd Avenue.

The man left in a brown 2005 Ford F-150, which deputies spotted and pursued for a short time before they say they had to end the pursuit “due to the driver’s actions.”

The sheriff’s office says the F-150 was stolen in Nebraska Dec. 2 and currently has Colorado license plate QTG-450. Deputies advise people who see the truck, which has a sticker that says “Kosko Racing” on the back windshield, not to approach it.

Anyone with knowledge of the burglary or who has seen the truck is asked to call 911.
