DENVER - One person died after a double shooting in southwest Denver late Tuesday night.

Denver police say two men were shot on South Alcott Street, near West Mississippi Avenue and South Zuni Street.

Denver police say both men were rushed to the hospital, where one man died.  The second man is expected to survive.

Police are waiting for a suspect description, and expect to release more information later this morning.

The name of the victim has not been released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
