DENVER - A man is in custody after Denver police discovered a woman's body Sunday morning.

Officers received a report of a possible deceased woman Sunday morning and responded to the 1500 block of S. Carlan Court at 8:16 a.m., said police spokesman Sonny Jackson. They found the woman inside the home and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson said the case is being investigated as a homicide. He did not release the identity of the man in custody.

The cause of death and the identity of the victim will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, said Jackson.
