PUEBLO, Colo. - An Oklahoma woman suffered significant injuries when a single-engine plane crashed on approach to Pueblo Airport Sunday morning, a fire official said.
The plane crashed just before 9:30 a.m. in a field while attempting to land at the airport, Pueblo Assistant Fire Chief Bill Nemick told 7NEWS.
A woman was transported to the hospital with "significant but not life-threatening injuries," Nemick said. The male pilot was not injured. The couple is from Oklahoma.
"There was a lot of damage to the plane," Nemick said, including damage to its nose, wings and tail.
The cause of the crash was not known.
