Oil and gas company going green - Encana Oil & Gas is trying to find ways to reduce energy consumption at its facilities.

The company is installing sensors to control computer power, using more natural light and keeping temperatures stable with double-pane windows at its new home near Parachute.

According to KREX-TV, the $6 million offices are 22 percent more energy efficient; they use 31 percent less electrical power and 35 percent less natural gas.

Company officials say about 240 employees operate the facility at 75 percent capacity, which they say is the optimum number to conserve money that can be reinvested.
