COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Colorado Springs police say an Office Max employee suffered minor injuries when she got hit with two laptop computers while trying to stop a thief.
Police say a man cut alarm cords to two computers on Sunday and ran to the front of the store with the computers in hand.
Police say an employee tried to stop the thief and the suspect hit her with the computers. The employee suffered minor injuries.
A second employee tried to stop the man at the door and was threatened with a screwdriver-type tool before the man ran out the front door, police said. The second employee was not injured.
Officers say the man escaped in a red Honda hatchback, similar to a Honda CRV, with temporary license plate tags.
The suspect was described as a black male, approximately 26 years of age. He was 6'1 to 6'6 with a thin build and some facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black designer jeans and a black beanie, police said.
