Northglenn clerk and armed robbery suspect exchange gunfire

NORTHGLENN, Colo. – A clerk's gun wounded an armed suspect during a botched robbery in Northglenn Tuesday night.

Police identified the suspect as Rocky Howard Dean Pederson, 31. He was placed into custody at an area hospital.

Northglenn Police were dispatched around 8 p.m. to the Grow Depot located at 970 West 104th Avenue on the report of shots fired.

Police say a masked Pederson entered the grow-supply store in an attempt to rob it, but didn’t count on facing an armed employee.

The clerk and suspect exchanged gunfire while several people were inside. Police didn't report any other injuries.
