No charges after home intruder fatally shot in Teller County

DIVIDE, Colo. - No charges have been filed after a fatal shooting in a Divide subdivision over the weekend.

The Teller County Sheriff's Office said they were called to the 400 block of Maid Marian Drive in the Sherwood Forest subdivision Saturday at about 4 a.m., after a man called 911 to say he had shot an intruder.

Deputies found a man lying on the floor of the home and questioned a man and woman in the house.  The victim had been shot in the head, according to the sheriff's office.

The two occupants were questioned and released.

"All parties were in their 20s and known to each other," a sheriff's office statement said. "Their relationship is being investigated."

The deceased man's identity has been withheld until his family can be notified.
