PARIS – A recent graduate of Niwot High School is recovering after being attacked with acid in France Sunday.

Kelsey Kosten was among four American tourists attacked in Marseilles train station Sunday morning by a 41-year-old female suspect, French authorities said.

Kosten was with three other female Boston College students when the suspect, described by the Massachusetts school as “disturbed,” allegedly sprayed the acid in the women’s faces.

The women were treated for burns at a nearby hospital and released. The students appear to be “fine, considering the circumstances,” a representative from Boston College said in a statement Sunday. The suspect was placed into custody soon after the train station attack.

Kosten and the three other students -- identified as Courtney Siverling, Charlotte Kaufman and Michelle Krug -- were juniors at the private Jesuit university studying abroad when the attack occurred.

Neighbors told Denver7 Kosten and her family moved to Boston soon after the victim graduated from Niwot High School.
