The new waiting area for drivers picking up passengers at Denver International Airport opened Tuesday morning.
The old 45-minute waiting lot on the south side of Pena Blvd. is closed and the new lot, called “Final Approach,” is open on the north side of Pena next to the Conoco and Wendy’s.
Final Approach offers free Wi-Fi service in the building and parking lot, more than 250 parking spaces, a children’s seating area with iPads built into tables, lounge seating, indoor restrooms and flight information display boards.
The facility also includes the metro area's first 24-hour Dunkin' Donuts in several years, a Subway restaurant and a Baja Fresh Mexican Grill.
