Neighbors find man's body in SUV; deputies investigating death as homicide

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. – Residents in a Jefferson County neighborhood came upon a gruesome discovery Monday afternoon when they found the body of a homicide victim inside a vehicle.

The man’s body was found in a parked SUV in the 11300 block of West Maplewood Drive. Jefferson County Sheriff’s deputies said neighbors grew concerned when the unfamiliar Ford Explorer hadn’t moved for several hours.

The man was identified as Samuel Addison Stewart, 26. His death is being investigated as a homicide.

Deputies say no suspects have been identified at this time and the investigation is ongoing. Investigators do not believe a threat to the public exists.
