Motorcyclists cited by Colorado State Patrol for driving 138 mph in 65 mph zone

ALAMOSA, Colo. - Two motorcyclists were cited for extreme speeding in southern Colorado.

The Colorado State Patrol in Alamosa said Monday night that the riders were caught driving 138 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone.

"Not very smart," troopers tweeted.

CSP tweeted a picture showing part of the speeding ticket. It showed the riders were issued a summons to appear in court for a 12 point violation.
