Motorcyclist dies after hitting concrete guard rail on Highway 58 in Wheat Ridge

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - A motorcyclist died early Thursday after crashing into a concrete guard rail on Highway 58, police said.
The 37-year-old male motorcyclist hit the guard rail on the curve of the Highway 58 interchange to eastbound Interstate 70 at about 12:50 a.m., said Wheat Ridge police spokesman John Romero.
The rider was pronounced dead on the scene. His name has not been released.
The eastbound Highway 58 interchange was closed for about five hours during the accident investigation. The Wheat Ridge Police Department’s Crime and Traffic Team continues to investigate the crash.
