'Milli Vanilli' robbery suspects arrested, wanted in as many as 15 robberies, police said

DENVER - Denver Police say the two men nicknamed the "Milli Vanilli" bandits have been arrested.

Derrick Ervin, 29, and Jeremy Ervin, 33, were arrested Friday, on robbery charges, Denver Police said. Officers did not say if the men were related.

Investigators did not release any details on the arrest, other than to say Aurora Police aided in helping track down the men.

The Ervins are suspected in as many as 15 robberies of restaurants, stores and a hotel in the Denver metro area. 7NEWS first reported on the case on Nov. 18, when the pair was wanted for just two robberies. Almost all crimes all occurred on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays during November.

The men were nicknamed the "Milli Vanilli" bandits due to their wigs. "Milli Vanilli" was the name of a 1980s pop duo known for their long dreadlocks and for infamously being stripped of their 1989 Grammy award for Best New Artists after they were exposed for not singing on their debut album and lip-synching to songs in concert.
