FOUNTAIN, Colo. -  First lady Michelle Obama is on a two-day campaign swing for her husband in Colorado.

The first lady campaigned in Fountain and Durango on Wednesday. She scheduled a campaign visit to Castle Rock for Thursday.

Obama says the economy has improved since her husband took office. She says he "inherited an economy in rapid decline."

Obama also talked up her husband's actions to expand Pell grants and ensure equal pay for women.

The wife of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney was campaigning in a different way Wednesday. Ann Romney hosted ABC's "Good Morning America" and said her love of horses helped her overcome her fear that multiple sclerosis would put her in a wheelchair.
