DENVER – The heavy metal band Metallica is set to rock Sports Authority Field Wednesday night.

The Denver show is part of the band’s ‘WorldWired 2017’ tour to support the band’s new album, ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct,’ which was released in November. 

The show gets underway at 6 p.m. and is expected to go until 11 p.m. Fans can start lining up to enter as early as 2 p.m. The doors will open at 4 p.m.

Only clear bags are allowed in the stadium. No other bags are allowed, including purses, backpacks, coolers, camera bags, diaper bags, clinches or binocular bags. See a full list of what items are permitted and not permitted inside the venue.

Getting there
Light Rail Lines W,C, and E serve the station closest to Sports Authority Field. Fans may also take the D or H lines and transfer to the C or E lines at I-25 & Broadway, Alameda, or 10th & Osage stations. Purchase a round-trip ticket at your initial boarding station to avoid delays after the show.

A taxi stand is located outside the stadium on Bryant Street along the pedestrian walkway outside the Gate 5 area on the northeast corner of the building.

Parking
Parking will be available on the west and southwest lots at Sports Authority Field. Stadium lots open at 10 a.m. Cash parking will be available south of Colfax Avenue, in parking Lots M and N.
