PARK COUNTY, Colo. - The woman accused of killing LeAnn "Annie" Meyer appeared in court before a district court judge for the first time Monday.
Melissa Miller was arrested on July 15. She is charged with second-degree murder in her roommate's death.
When she was last in court, a Park County judge set a cash bond of $50,000. That bond was not changed at Monday's hearing.
Miller was living in Meyer's basement when Meyer disappeared. Meyer's remains were found July 4 in a rural area of Park County, near Bailey, Colo.
Miller was the last person to see Meyer alive. She told some of Meyer's friends in a secretly-recorded video that she dropped Meyer off for a dinner appointment with another woman. Miller said Meyer had a bloody nose, but didn't explain why.
The next court appearance for Miller is scheduled for August 5 at 11 a.m. The charges and bond will be discussed at that time.
