McLain Community High School evacuated after threatening note found Monday morning

Students returned after campus searched

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - McLain Community High School in Lakewood was evacuated Monday morning after a threatening note was found.

The Jefferson County School District made the decision to evacuate McLain as a precaution after the shooting Friday at Arapahoe High School in Littleton, said Steve Davis with the Lakewood Police Department.

Lakewood police officers searched the campus but didn't find anything, Davis said.

McLain students were moved next door to Warren Tech, which was on lockout until a little after 11 a.m.

McLain students have returned to class.
