DENVER - Veterans in our state can get marijuana for free on Saturday.
The group Operation Grow4Vets (OG4V) is hosting a cannibis giveaway event in Denver from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Quality Inn Central Denver at 200 W. 48th Ave.
Participants can stop in anytime during event hours, but must RSVP online by noon on Friday, Sept. 19, in order to receive free cannabis products.
"Veterans and OG4V members will receive free admission and receive over $200 in free cannabis products," organizers said. "All other attendees will make a $20 donation and receive more than $100 worth of cannabis products."
The event is open to the public and restricted to adults 21 years of age and older.
More than 200 veterans are expected to attend the Denver Cannabis Giveaway.
A similar giveaway event will be held in Colorado Springs on Sept. 27 at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
“Operation Grow4Vets events put cannabis in the hands of veterans who need it most,” OG4V Founder and Executive Director Roger Martin explained. "Our events are open to the public to help grow visibility for our cause."
